What's it about?:
Prentisstown isn't like other towns. Everyone can hear everyone else's thoughts in an overwhelming, never-ending stream of Noise. Just a month away from the birthday that will make him a man, Todd and his dog, Manchee - whose thoughts Todd can hear, too, whether he wants to or not - stumble upon an area of complete silence. They find that in a town where privacy is impossible, something terrible has been hidden - a secret so awful that Todd and Manchee must run for their lives.

But how do you escape when your pursuers can hear your every thought?

My thoughts:
Although this isn't my favorite YA series, I still really enjoyed this book. The characters are very realistic and show alot of emotion. The only thing that was a little bit of a let down was the fact that the world they live in remains me alot of worlds in other YA books such as The Forest of Hands and Teeth. I was hoping for something a little more unqiue but I still liked it :)

Also, the ending is a HUGE cliffhanger so if you don't like this book, you will probably be disappointed as you really need to read the next book to find out what happens. But I do recommend this book if you liked: The Forest of Hands and Teeth Series, The Hunger Games and books similar to those.
